  • I agree w/ Harry-1962. Unions were effective and necessary at one point but have outlived their usefulness and, for the most part, are now counter-productive. I used to work for Boeing (in Texas, a right-to-work state) in a plant wherethe majority of workers belonged to the IAM union.

  • Sure, they could write it off and use the money elsewhere but they feel obligated to try and find out why it went down.  If it was a preventable accident or a component failure, corrective action needs to be taken.

  • PCTDON- I'd like to think you were pulling everyone's leg with your reference to the Japanese Kamikazi pilots of WWII but knowing the mentality of many of the respondents to this blog, I'm in serious doubt.
